The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, South East region, Mrs. Chioma Nweze has expressed her commitment to partner with the Minister of Environment, Iziak Adekunle Salako, and other critical stakeholders in the country to bring positive change in the Eastern region.
Recall that, Nweze recently visited the director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, and the Director of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Muhammd Bulama, with the view of creating programs for the presidential Community Engagement initiative, and to foster a stronger connection between the government and the citizens.
Nweze, in a statement signed and issued to newsmen shortly after an outreach held at Garki International Market, Abuja, emphasized that: "Our mission was to sensitize the public on the significance of maintaining hand hygiene, particularly in the wake of recent health concerns.
"I'm passionate about fostering awareness and driving positive change in our communities. It's crucial that we work together to promote healthy practices and ensure the well-being of our citizens.
"I'm committed to continuing this engagement and exploring opportunities for collaboration with other organizations to further our impact.
"In addition to our outreach efforts, I've been involved in various initiatives aimed at supporting community development and promoting social welfare. I believe that by working together, we can create a brighter future for all" she said.
Similarly, Nweze who earlier partnered the directors of NTA and FRCN, emphasized that: "During our meeting, we explored ways to collaborate and amplify the impact of government programs and policies. We recognized the significance of effective communication and community engagement in promoting transparency, trust, and participation.
"We acknowledged the challenges of restoring public trust and the need for honest, timely, and patriotic communication. The Directors expressed their commitment to supporting the Presidential Community Engagement initiative and exploring innovative ways to engage citizens.
"I'm eager to continue this collaboration and explore opportunities for leveraging media platforms to promote government programs and policies. By working together, we can bridge the information gap and ensure that all citizens are aware of the initiatives and services available to them" she stressed.
