Works commissioner assures of implementing 29th NCW meeting resolutions ...Commends Nwifuru, Umahi for successful hosting in Ebonyi

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works, Engnr Stanley Lebechi Mbam has assured that the ministry would do its best to implement the resolutions reached by the Council on Works meeting held in Abakaliki.

Mbam who gave the assurance while interacting with journalists in Abakaliki appreciated all the stakeholders of the works sector who contributed to the success of the event especially for choosing Ebonyi State to host the program. 

He commended the effort of Governor Francis Nwifuru and Senator David Umahi and described their wise decision towards the transformation of Ebonyi State as an influencing factor that made the meeting possible in the state. 
He appreciated the leadership of the Council on Works for the show of professionalism and expertise in programming the event in conformity with the theme, unlocking infrastructural potentials and opportunities as a catalyst for sustainable development under the renewed hope agenda. 

He noted that the program would contribute immensely for the development drive towards the nation prosperity. 

He thanked the participants of the program for their contributions, especially on submission of the memorandum of understanding.

He said: "This is first in the history of Nigerian Democracy that the Meeting of the National Council on Works is being held in Ebonyi State.
"As a member of the council and Hon. Commissioner for works, Ebony State, I hosted the 29th meeting of the council with the theme:  "Unlocking Infrastructural Potentials and Opportunities as Catalyst for Sustainable Development under the Renew Hope Agenda."
"The meeting which was declared open on, the 18th day of July, 2024, at Re-Meritona Hotels, by my Boss, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, H.E Rt. Hon. Blder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, saw the presence of Hon. Minister of Works, Engr. Sen. David Umahi, CON,  FNSE, FNATE as Chairman of the National Council, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Works,  Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator Representing  Ebony North Zone, Sen. Chief Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Nigerian 36 States' Commissioner for Works and FCT representative with their Permanent Secretaries, Directors of the Federal Ministry of Works and some relevant office holders in Ebonyi State, including the Deputy Governor and the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
"To the glory of God,  we recorded a huge success hosting the meeting and I thank my dear Boss, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, H.E. Rt. Hon. Blder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for giving me all needed enablement.
"And to the Chairman, National Council on Works and Minister of Works, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Engr. Sen. David Nweze Umahi, I appreciate you, sir, for making it possible. And to All and Sundry, thank you for coming ," Mbam said
