A member of the National Transition Committee and chieftain of the Labour Party, LP in Ebonyi State  Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh has described  Mr Peter Obi as the leader of the black race following the LP's victory in the United Kingdom (UK) election recently.

Ezeh who stated this during the Ebonyi State Labour Party expanded state-wide stakeholders meeting at Citi Hub Event Centre, Mile 50, Abakaliki, noted that Obi made a pronouncement before the election day, directing the UK electorate to vote for the Labour Party and they gave the party a landslide victory in the country.

Ezeh, who contested for House of Reps
for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency during the 2023 general elections under the Labour Party said that the masses are not just only the followers and supporters of Obi in Nigeria but the entire African countries and the world.

"I'm proud to have a leader. In the UK election, we heard what happened. Peter Obi made a statement and told the people to vote for the Labour Party and the entire election went in one direction.

"We have a man who I can describe as a leader of the black race, not Nigeria."

He further described Obi as the leader of the Labour Party in Nigeria, whom he said, would lead Nigerians to the promised land.

He commended the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Obi for having made his supporters proud in different parts of the world, especially during the recent election in the UK and other countries.

"Peter Obi made a statement in the UK, in America, in Russia, in Kenya among other countries and something happened. Obi is a man we are proud of, he is a man who will lead us to the promised land.

"Peter Obi is the leader of the Labour Party. He's not only the Leader of the party because incidentally, what happened in the UK, Mr Peter Obi is now the leader of the black race, going by the outcome of the election where the Labour Party won a landslide.

"Anywhere Peter Obi goes, people follow him in Nigeria, Africa, and the entire world. You could hear what happened in the UK election, just a statement from Peter Obi, the people gave the Labour Party a landslide victory.  Peter Obi is in charge."

He explained that the LP National Transition committee have come up with the theme tagged canvas, to convince, and convert 30 million new members into the party nationwide.

While commending the party faithful in Ebonyi, Ezeh expressed the stakeholders' determination to resolve the party's leadership problems at the national level.

He also stated that the Ebonyi State Chapter of the party has become one united family and would continue to work together to ensure the birth of a new Nigeria come 2027.

"In Ebonyi State, we don't have any faction in the Labour Party. Labour Party is a party that has an ideology, the future now is that we have not lost any of our members, because the real owners of the party are intact.

"We have over 5,000 people who attended the meeting. The people are hungry for change and we are ready to give birth to a new Nigeria," he said.

The LP expanded state-wide stakeholders meeting was convened by Chief Fidelis Nwankwo, Chief Linus Okorie, and Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh who are the members of the National Transition Committee of the party from the State.
