The group led by the National President Alex Ifeanyi Oguta made the presentation in Abakaliki at a press conference to support Nwali’s aspiration to contest the position.
The group said it has studied closely the pedigree of Nwali Sunday and found out that he met the right criteria to lead the council for positive change and progress
He said, “As the Concerned Youths of Ezza South, led by Alex Ifeanyi Oguta, we are honoured to present a cheque of N25 million to support Mr. Nwali’s pursuit of public office in the forthcoming council elections in Ebonyi State for Ezza South.
“His remarkable antecedents in sponsoring students for overseas studies, paying school fees for indigent students, and covering WAEC fees for the less privileged are a few examples of his unwavering commitment to the well-being of our people.
“His philanthropic gestures have positively impacted countless lives, inspiring hope and fostering a sense of community. Every year, Mr. Nwali, popularly known as Smano, celebrates Christmas, Easter, and other yuletides with the rich and poor in ways that show he is a beacon of hope.
“Mr. Nwali’s dedication to social activities in Ezza South and beyond has been exemplary. He has consistently demonstrated a passion for the welfare of others, often going above and beyond to support the needy. His leadership and vision are precisely what we need to propel our LGA forward, and we believe he is the ideal candidate to represent our interests.
“This presentation is not only a show of appreciation for Mr. Nwali’s tireless efforts but also a demonstration of our confidence in his ability to excel in public office. We urge him to utilise this support to pursue his political aspirations, knowing that the youths of Ezza South stand firmly behind him.
“As we present this cheque to Mr. Nwali, we are not only investing in his political ambition but also in the future of our great LGA. We are confident that his leadership will bring about positive change and progress, and we look forward to celebrating his victory in the forthcoming council election.
“We are aware of the harsh economic realities in our country today, that’s why we levied ourselves as concerned youths and brought this cheque to ensure nothing stops you from taking the mantle of leadership in our dear Local Government Area.
“We believe you are in the best position to uphold the leadership mantra of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, which is anchored on people’s charter of needs.
“Thank you, Mr. Nwali, for your selflessness and dedication to our community. We wish you success in your political endeavours and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in our LGA,” Oguta said.
Mr. Nwali Sunday while receiving the cheque described the gesture as a good one and vowed not to disappoint both the youths and the elders.
"I am overwhelmed with the presentation of this cheque; this is a huge one, and I want to tell you people to take it home. I will never disappoint you.
"Not minding the harsh economic situation, you still levied yourself and gathered #25 million for me to represent you in Ezza South; history will take note of this.
"On this note, I want you all to know that Ezza South is our place to plough and not to plunder. I will do everything within my power to make sure that the reputation you place on me is not betrayed.
"When I become chairman of Ezza South, I will make sure that I re awaken our lost values, respect our elders and stakeholders, and our economy will not be wasted.
We will be judicious in our spending; every kobo that comes to Ezza South must be accounted for; I am ready to represent you; I'm ready to serve you; and I support the Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Charter of Needs because the mantra is for everyone". He stated.
