Ebonyi Works Commissioner, Mbam, congratulates Gov. Nwifuru on his Supreme Court victory

... says it's a victory for all Ebonyians

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr Stanley Lebechi Mbam, has congratulated Governor Francis Nwifuru on his victory at the Supreme Court.

The Apex Court has upheld the decision of the Ebonyi State Court of Appeal, which dismissed the appeal filed by Chukwuma Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seeking the nullification of the election of Nwifuru as governor of the state.

Delivering the lead judgment, Justice Tijani Abubakar dismissed the appeal for lack of merit.

Reacting to the ruling, Engr. Mbam, in a statement in Abakaliki, said the affirmation of Governor Nwifuru's election by the apex court was at the will of the Ebonyi people.

He said, "Our joy knows no bounds as the people's mandate has been rectified. Congratulations, Your Excellency.

"In adoration with an elusive pomp of celebration, I, Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, Hon. Commissioner for Works and Transport, on behalf of my family, management, and staff of the Ministry, convey a thunderous shout of congratulations to a votary of excellence, the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on the re-affirmation of the landslide victory of the 2023 gubernatorial election by the Supreme Court.

"This declaration by the Nigerian apex court is a proof of the obvious: that the collective wish of the Ebonyi people has prevailed for the righteous to tarry. It is indeed a victory for all Ebonyians.

"Your Excellency's determination to heal Ebonyi land for the next level of greatness cannot be truncated, and the grace of God shall always be sufficient for you.".

"We gracefully congratulate the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, for her relentless support, the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Princess Patricia Obila, the Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Odunwa, and all the members of the House of Assembly. The State Chairman, All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Stanley Okoroemegha, and all the Party executives and members"
