"Harvest your ability in disabilities"... Ebonyi works Commissioner tells APWSN

 Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Stanley Mbam has called on Physically Challenged people to discover ability in their disabled condition in other to be useful to the society. 

Engr. Mbam made this call when he received in a courtesy visit executives of Ebonyi North Association of People with Special Need (APWSN) on Thursday in his office, Centenary City, Abakaliki stressing that there is hope for the living and assured them of Government support in their endeavors. 

The commissioner who said that the administration of the State Governor, Rt. Honourable Francis Nwifuru is committed to ensuring better life for all encouraged the disabled men who were all blind not to see their condition as hopeless but always believe that God who changes situations can remember them anytime adding that they are special people to God and Government of Ebonyi State. 

 *I thank God for life as I warmly welcome you to my office today. I want you to know that there is hope for the living. The same God who gave sight to Blind Bartimaeus  can also remember you. So remain focused and never give in to inferiority complex rather use the ability in you to help the society*. Engr. Mbam said. 

He promised to present their plight to the Governor and as well gave them a cash support of an undisclosed amount. 

Earlier, the leader of the delegation,  Mr. Sampson Alo who is also the Chairman, Ebonyi North Association of People with Special Need (APWSN) said that they came to identify with the Commissioner and to seek his approval to become one of the patrons of the association. He appreciated Governor Francis Nwifuru for his choice of Engr. Stanley as the Commissioner for Works and Transport. He appealed to the Governor to remember them in his appointments, projects and programs. 

Mr. Alo who pledged unalloyed support and cooperation with the Governor and his Government requested the State Government to consider providing skills acquisition centre where people with special need can be employed. He pointed out that many of them are graduates of various disciplines while others have been trained in many skills. 

Highlight of the meeting was a special prayer offered to the State Government and the Governor through the commissioner.
