Gov. Nwifuru commissions First private station in Ebonyi




Ebonyi state governor Chief Francis Nwifuru has  commissioned  first private radio station, the Legacy 95.1 FM office in Abakaliki


The Governor while Commissioning the legacy FM station office,  commended the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Senator Obinna Ogba for investing such innovative radio station in Ebonyi and assured him of steady support.


Governor Nwifuru, therefore warned against promotion of fake news in the radio station to avoid causing problem in the state.

He called on other investors to come in Ebonyi state to take advantage of the willingness to invest. adding as Governor of the state, he will secure and supporting the businesses to grow.
'I am delighted to have  commission the radio station, Legacy FM and I commend, Distinguished Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba who brought this investment to Ebonyi State. He has done noble and our Government will continue to provide enabling environment for this media industry to thrive.

'I have today directed that the construction of the road leading to the station be commenced immediately, and that the State Ministry of Power should ensure electricity is installed in the area with immediate effect'

' These are the incentives that good investment can bring to an area.

'Congratulations Legacy FM and all the very best.' Governor said

Speaking, Senator Obinna ogba thanked Ebony State Governor and others for honoring the invitation.

He noted that it's has been in his dreams , to create employment for Ebonyi youth.

'Ebonyi People use to go  Enugu to get what they want, and take the risk to transport themselves to Enugu, to air their views with dream Fm and other stations , and felt there's need to build lagacy FM in the state,  and I thank God Ebonyi people are enjoying it today'.
