Barr Okorie C.Okorie has emerged the acting National President of the Nigeria Youth Organisation.
Until his emergence as the acting boss of the NYO, he was the National Vice-President, South-East Zone, of the youth group.
This was contained in a statement, issued by the National Secretary, Dr Solomon Garda, on Wednesday.
The statement read, "The Organisation congratulates the out gone National Executive Council led by Abdulahi Abubakar Wali on their successful end of tenure.
"That the NON-Elective National Congress resolved that there's urgent and serious need to revamp, restructure and set up a National Caretaker Leadership of the Nigeria Youth Organisation that will pilot the affairs and activities of the organisation for a period of one year within which election must be conducted to elect new National, Zonal, States and LGA Executives.
"That the Congress further resolved, appointed and rectified Comrade Okorie C. Okorie as Acting National President of Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) with Engr. Amb. Y.A.Y. Hotoro as his Deputy, Hon. Dr Solomon Danjuma Garda as National Secretary, Barr Ifeoma Uche as National Welfare Officer, Alagbe Blessing Olufunmilayo as National Treasurer and Nze Unegbu Ozoemena as National Financial Secretary with immediate.

"The Non-Elective Congress also approved to retain all Zonal Vice Presidents and State Chairmen except those who are appointed into National or Zonal offices as the case maybe.
"That the essence of setting up the above stated Acting National Leadership is to provide Leadership for the Organisation as power abhors vacuum.
"That the newly appointed National Leadership posseses the power to co-opt other members of the Organisation in her executive for the purpose of administration and smooth running of the organisation.
"That the newly appointed National Leadership is here by directed to with immediate effect update the registration of the Organisation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
"The newly constituted acting National Executives must ensure that there's a synergy between the organization and government at all levels in order to take the Organisation to an enviable height."
