I won't fail Ebonyi--- PDP governoship candidate, Oddi assures

The governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2023 general elections in Ebonyi State Dr. Ifeanyi Odii has promised not to fail the people of the state.
Odii who stated this during the PDP campaign rally at Ameka, Ezza south local government of the state asked the people to hold him accountable if he fails.
The governoship candidate who promised to reform the civil service system of Ebonyi state said he would make industrialization of the State one of the major priorities of his government.
According to him: “I will give empowerment to the youth, bring transformation to the civil servants, pay your pensions and gratuities, pay your salaries as at when due, give scholarships to deserving students and empowerment to all and sundry.
"Hold me accountable if I fail, and I will not fail by the grace of God if I win".
“We’ll industrialise Ebonyi State, so that there will be jobs for the youths. Under our watch, we will remove every Ebonyians from every street they are hawking across the country.”
He described the people of Ezza clan as forthright and dependable allies at all times, urging them to vote the PDP across board as his government will always carry them along in the scheme of things.
On his part, the Senator representing Ebonyi North zone, Sen. Sam Egwu emphasized that the Peoples Democratic Party can not be intimidated come February and March general elections nothing that Ebonyi will remain a PDP State even after the 2023 general election.
He tasked all aggrieved members of the party who lost in the primary elections to come back and join the fold.
"Today we have been justified, I am seeing all of you I am confident as you have supported us and said you are not leaving PDP. After the issues of our primaries, we now have candidates in all the positions, I require all that is in PDP that is aggrieved to come back and join the fold so that everybody will be together.
"We have continued to move forward, by seeing all of you and by your activities in all the local government we are convinced and everybody knows that PDP will produce the next governor.
"As a party, we do not believe in violence we believe in persuasion which is what we are known for, I am telling APC who believe that they are going to intimidate our people that it is not possible, that we must vote according to our conscience and Ebonyi will prove that we are PDP".
Also speaking, the PDP Senatorial candidate for Ebonyi Central Hon. Laz Ogbe called on the people to vote for the party, noting that the country has suffered under APC.
"I am calling on our people to vote for PDP for a better tomorrow, you can only vote for APC if you are comfortable with what is happening in the country today. When PDP was in power fuel was sold at 85 naira per liter but now it's sold at 450 naira, rice was sold at 4,000 naira per bushel it is now sold at 15,000 per bushel, and the price of garri has skyrocketed".
