Mammoth crowd as Umahi, Nwifuru storm Afikpo for APC campaign rally





The ancient town of Afikpo was literally shut down Friday as the All Progressives Congress campaign berthed there.

Speaking to the mammoth crowd, Governor David Umahi  appealled to the people and Stakeholders of Afikpo North Local Government Area to support the Governorship Candidate and all Candidates of APC in the forthcoming general elections in the State.

While acknowledging the support of the the people to his administration, Governor Umahi assured that Afikpo people would continue to occupy pride of place in the Divine Mandate governance of the State.

"I am in love with the Afikpo people because my foundation started here.

"You people have to support Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru and other APC Candidates.

"By the grace of God, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru is the incoming Governor of Ebonyi State.

"I am your Governor, I am the Leader of Ebonyi State, I am the father of equity, justice and fairness, so you have to vote for Ebonyi North and Izzi so that in the next sixteen years, it will return back to us."

The wife of the Governor, Mrs. Rachel Umahi called on Ehugbo people to vote for Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru for consolidation and continuity of Divine Mandate reign in the State.

The Governor also admonished the people to vote for the Presidential Candidate of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu for continuity at the centre.


"In 2015 when the going was tough, the Umuekumenyi people supported us overwhelmingly, so this is the payback time, you have to vote for my son, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru."


The Governorship Candidate of the APC, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru commended the people for large turnout to the rally which he noted was enough indication that APC was the Party to beat in the Council.

While urging them to translate their solidarity to vote for him and other Candidates of APC, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru promised to integrate them to the mainstream of his administration.
