Ebonyi Business mogul, Dr Gideon Osi has organised a free medical treatment
to residents of Ishiagu community in Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State as he buries his mother, while dedicating the Oyiride Osi memorial Estate. (In honor of the late matriarch)
The Ezinne Rebecca Oyiridie Osi Memorial estate Amaeze Ishiagu community built by Dr Gideon Osi was commissioned and handed over to the respective owners, in commemoration of a life well lived by his mother.
The medical outreach which was held at the country home of Dr Gideon Osi, Amaeze Ishiagu in Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State was part of event marking the funeral ceremony of the late Mother Ezinne Rebecca Osi.
The medical team who came from the United States were on ground for treatment in solidarity with their colleague and friend, Dr Gideon Chidiebere Osi, to provide quality medical care to the people of Ishiagu and environs, mostly Women and children covering areas of General Medicine, Peadiatric, Eye and Dental care. Over 1,317 patients were screened, attended and treated
Some of the beneficiaries including Chief Laz Okoro, a community leader who commended Dr Osi said the free medical intervention was a relief to the residents of the community.
In his remarks, Dr Gideon Osi noted that the free medical outreach and dedication of Ezinne Rebecca Oyiride Osi memorial Estate in Ishiagu were part of the burial programme to immortalize his mother for a life well lived.
"Today,the Ezinne Oyiridie Osi Memorial Estate,Umuogboke stands as a testimony of mama's goodwill as this was one of her last wishes to ensure that every member of the family is given a befitting accommodation. This is to ensure that no member of the family suffers the kind of humiliation she passed through following the collapse of her mud house in 1984.
"She begged for shelter and moved from place to place for over 25 years with her children without any assistance to alleviate her accommodation challenge. Those nights were for crying and praying while the daytime was for work and more work. She filled the gap as a mother and a father and never gave up on any responsibility to assuage her family's precarious living condition."
"Ezinne Oyiridie Osi lived a selfless community life. She was a point of reference for so many who wished for a peaceful home or a contented woman. She was achronic and fabulous giver whose generosity was to everyone including those that had maltreated her in one way or the other. For nwanyi china".
It would be recalled that the late Ezinne Rebecca Oyiridie Osi, Ezinne Di Ora Mma passed on February 22nd , 2022 (22.2.22), Aged 82.
The Wake keep/ Night of Tributes will hold on November 10, 2022 at Dr Gideon Osi country home Ishiagu. Time 6pm.
A funeral mass is scheduled to hold at St James Catholic Church, Amaeze Ishiagu in Ivo LGA at 11am. There will be an outing Service on November 13th, 2022, at 10am.
While Condolence Visits will be on Nov 12th, 2022 by 12 noon at Dr Gideon Osi country home, Amaeze, Ishiagu.
Prominent Nigerians from all walks of life, including Dr. Gideon Osi's business associates, captain of industries, Politicians, and friends among other well-meaning Nigerians are expected at Ishiagu for his Mum's burial.
