Ekumankama promises to run an all inclusive govt in Afikpo South

The newly sworn in chairman of Afikpo South Local Government area Hon Prince Chima EkumaNkama has assured the people of Eddd clan that his administration will run an inclusive government that would ensure dividends of democracy in a every nook and cranny of Afikpo South LGA


Ekumankama who stated this in an interview with Journalists shortly after his inaguration in Abakaliki said his administration would be fair to all communities in Edda, urging the stakeholders to rest assured of his commitment to open door policy and good governance at all times


He emphasized on the need to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the unity of his people, noting his emergence as the council chairman was due to support from all quarters who voted him at the just concluded Local Government elections.

He said he will give priority attention to Youth development where Edda youths will be engaged and empowered to become economically self-reliant.  


Chima said involving the youths in his administration would engage them positively as well as give them a sense of direction and improve their productivity.


"During my consultation I didn't consider party, I engaged everyone in the area which has shown why the entire people supported me, and with the help of God I will do my best to unite my people and work for them to see that they have made the right choice.


"We are embarking on aggressive youths empowerment, because our past leaders did not manage the youths well, they didn't give them a sense of direction, 


"we are going to sensitize and to let them know that they can be anything they want to be in life without embarking on all those things that tends to destroy them, we will give them hope and at end of the day we will have a better Edda". Chima said.

Also speaking in an interview a stakeholder in the area
Hon Hycinth Nwokwocha Ekuma Nkama, said the new chairman represents a new dawn for the people of Edda and described him as the answer to all the injustices in the area.

He called on the people to be patient with him while expressing confidence that he would deliver thier mandate for selfless service.
