Ebonyi guber 2023: Ogba expresess hope of flying PDP flag

The Senator representing Ebonyi central Senatorial district Senator Obinna Ogba has said that despite the recent supreme Court ruling that affirmed Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ebonyi State, that he was still hopeful of flying the party’s flag in 2023.

Ogba who stated this while addressing Party supporters at his campaign office in Abakaliki expressed hope that he would still make it in the pending case at the Supreme court Abuja.

Ogba who maintained optimistic that the pending case would go to his favour called his supporters to remain resolute

He explained that his faction still dominated the party structure with all the Senatorial, National and the House of Assembly candidates.

He called on supporters to continue trusting in God as judiciary remains 'the hope of a common man' which is where he belongs to wrestle power out of his rival.

Ogba said, “My reason for calling for this meeting is to thank all of you for your support, for your solidarity with my humble self and I want to assure you that you will not be disappointed.

“Let me tell you anything God does not know does not happen and it does not exist. My message is very simple if it is the wish of God that I will be there nobody can take it away.

“What has happened is a very simple something, we have two cases in the Supreme court, one has been decided and it’s not in our favor, we still have one in the court.

“But what is important is that as of today the three Senate candidates, the six House of Reps candidates and the 24 House of Assembly candidates are my group.

“As it stands now time is no longer on their side they can no longer appeal, I am not a desperate politician, if it pleases God that the second appeal did not favor me, I will be happy because all the Senate, House of Representatives, and the House of Assembly candidates are mine.

“I belong to the common people and the hope of a common man is the judiciary, I still have hope in the judiciary,” He stated.
