Sen Ama Nnachi empowers Constituents in Agriculture, donates equipments, start ups money for the beneficiaries




Senator Michael Ama Nnachi, PhD,  the senator representing Ebonyi South senatorial District, has again, partnered the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, to train His people on Agriculture (with keen focus to fishery, snailrey, fashion design, and poultry)


The Senator had recently organized trainings for the Youths, women, on Agriculture, and gave out money and aquipments to over ninety beneficiaries from his Constituency. He also concluded a digital skills acquisition, and distributed laptops and cash sums to the Youths, to encourage them on self reliance.


Senator Ama Nnachi, who spoke during the three day training, through his legislative aide, Hon. Obinna Agha, said the three day training was intended to build capacity amongst the Youths and women,  particularly in the area of Agriculture, such as fishery, snailrey, others such fashion design, event planning and poultry, as part of his Constituency project.


According to Agha, the Senator's representative, the beneficiaries were drawn from Afikpo South, Afikpo north, Ivo, Onicha and Ohoazara Local Government area of the State, that make up Ebonyi South senatorial District.


Correspondent observed that participants were trained on skills acquisitions in practical terms, and were also provided with cash sums and equipments to enable them start up their trades.


Ernest Atama Chinedu, an NDE staff who represented the State NDE coordinator, Mr Mercel Igbonaude, lauded the program, saying it was an avenue to create employment opportunities for the people.

"This mandate program of Senator Ama Nnachi which is his Constituency project is a laudable program for his zone, 

"It comprised of snailrey, fishery and poultry, fashion and design as well as event planning, you can use it to feed your family and become a millionaire tomorrow.

"I encourage the  youths who are the participants to pay attention to the training, because it's a live program and they cannot continue to depend on the government salary alone,  it will help them to back up in everything they are doing", Atama said.


Some of the beneficiaries, Ike Okoh Ifeanyi Chukwu from Afikpo North, Agom Daniel Chukwubuike from Onicha, Uka Henry Ekele from Ivo LGA and Raphael O. Kyrian from Afikpo South LGA, who expressed appreciations to the Senator, described him as a leader who believes in human capital development as the bedrock of the society.
