No fewer than six persons have reportedly died and three persons, hospitalised in an autocrash, in Ebonyi community.
It was learnt that the incident occurred at Ndi-Uduma village, Oso Edda community, in Afikpo South Local Government Area, of the state.
The accident, our Correspondent gathered, involved a MACK truck conveyinng chippings from Amasiri community , in the Afikpo North LGA of the state and a Sienna bus carrying passengers from Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
One source from the community, Mr Kalu Ugorji told our Correspondent that the MACK truck collided with the Sienna bus on a bend at the Ihere Stream, in the area.
According to Ugorji, "It is true and as I speak with you now, six persons died on the spot, and about three persons are just being moved to the hospital.
"It is a very fatal accident. It involved a Sienna bus carrying passengers from Okigwe in Imo State and a MACK truck conveyinng chippings from the Afikpo North LGA side.
"The two vehicles collided on a bend at the Ihere Stream and six of the passengers died instantly. Three persons are being taken to the hospital now."
Our Correspondent, in a video clip on a Facebook page belonging to one Nnamdi, saw a pool of blood dripping from a heavily squeezed Sienna bus.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Loveth Odah, said official report of the incident, had not reached her office, promising to get back to our Correspondent.
