The commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Ebonyi State command CC Lucy Samu has approved the deployment of 528 personnel to cover some strategic places for a peaceful and hitch free Eid-El-Kabir celebrations in the state.
This was contained in a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, CSC Paul Odimba on Tuesday in Abakaliki.
The statement said, "in order to achieve a peaceful 2021 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in the State, Commandant Lucy Samu has approved the deployment of 528 personnel to cover all prayer grounds, parks, recreational centres and all national assets in Ebonyi."
The release further stated that the command has put vin place a water tight operational strategy to guarantee a peaceful and hitch free celebration.
She further enjoined the members of the public to report every suspicious act in their locality to the nearest Security Agency and can also reach the command Rapid Response Team with the following numbers: 08056175592, 08036371880 and 08154756586.
Commandant Lucy Samu also advised all unscrupulous elements planning to cause breach of peace during or after the festival to steer clear of the state.
