Ebonyi state government has condemned the attack on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC offices in Ezza North and Ebonyi Local Government Areas of the state by unknown gunmen
The State commissioner for information and state orientation Barr uchenna Orji who disclosed this while briefing Journalists after the State Executive Council meeting held at old government house. said government frowned at the development and urged security agencies to immediately fish out the perpetrators
He said Exco also frowned at the inability of some political office holders to nip the attack in the bud and directed that query be given to them.

"Exco directed that query be given to the Chairmen of Ezza North and Ebonyi Local Government Areas, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters and Rural Development and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on State and Local Government Affairs to give reasons why disciplinary action will not be taken against them for not taking proactive measures to nip in the bud the attack at INEC offices at Ezza North and Ebonyi Local Government Areas".
"Exco Members and other government functionaries were warned to take their duties seriously or face disciplinary measures" He said.
In another development, the state government has announced the
approval for the release of funds for
random testing of 4000 government officials and other individuals especially on Hepatitis and 2000 women for Cervical Cancer.

According to state Commissioner for information, Barr uchenna Orji, a committee headed by Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze has been set up for the exercise
