South East PDP Congress: Ali Odefa emerges Nat' Vice Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southeast geo-political zone has  elected members of it’s new executive.

Acting national vice-chairman of the party in the zone, Ali Odefa emerged the new  national vice-chairman while Ugwu James emerrged the zonal secretary.


The congress also elected  other members of the Zonal Executive Committee of the party to include Hon Emeka Okeke (Zonal Treasurer); Hon. Casmir Ugwu (Zonal Financial Secretary); Hon. Mike Ahumibe (Zonal Organizing Secretary); Barr. Ukpai Ukairo (Zonal Legal Adviser); Engr. Augustine Okeke; (Zonal Publicity Secretary); Hon. Lazarus Ogbe (Zonal Auditor); Hon. Mrs. Mary Omile (Zonal Woman Leader) and Comrade Chidiebere Egwu (Zonal Youth Leader).

 

The Congress which was  held at Okpara's square, Enugu was monitored  by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Enugu.

In his acceptance speech, Odefa said he thanked God that he was victorious at  the same venue, OKPARA Square, where he was humiliated five  years ago.

He promised not to take the support the people gave to him for granted, assuring  that they shall be unbiased empire.

He appreciated Enugu State Governor and leader of the South East PDP, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for being an export material.


He pledged that they will put the interest of the PDP first by providing a level playing ground and working for the victory of the party in the zone.

Odefa promised the stakeholders that his leadership will not let them down, declaring that “every state that was taken from the PDP in this zone will be reclaimed by the party, starting from Anambra State”.
