Mobile courts to try COVID-19 offences to commence setting in Ebonyi

Mobile courts to try Covid 19 related offences in Ebonyi state will commence sitting next week.

The Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State and chairman State Task Force on Covid 19, Dr Kelechi Igwe disclosed this while flagging off second  round of campaign against the virus at Margaret Umahi International Market,  Abakaliki

He stressed the need for residents of the state to comply strictly with Covid 19 protocols by putting on their face masks, use of running water and alcohol based hand sanitizers, warning that any resident who contravenes the law will be handled in line with the provisions of the law.

Dr Igwe Said commencement of the aggressive campaign has become expedient to contain the spread of the  second wave of the corona virus Pandemic.

The Deputy Governor however hinted that the campaign will be taken to all the public places such as markets, Schools, and  worship houses.

The Deputy Governor who also led the campaign to Iyimagu Primary school, Azuiyiokwu assured that Government has also put in place other measures to contain the spread of the disease.

The Deputy Governor during the campaign distributed face masks to the traders and  pupils.
