Three persons have died and four persons critically injured as a Mass Transit Bus crashed at Abomege axis of Afikpo and Abakaliki Highway of Ebonyi state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State, Mrs Loveth Odah who confirmed this in Abakaliki explained that the bus skidded off the Highway and plunged on a tree.
She noted that preliminary investigations indicated that the tire of the bus bursted before the incident occurred.
DSP Odah further said that the deceased had been deposited in a mortuary while the injured were receiving treatment at the hospital.
