Christmas: Senator Ama Nnachi felicitates with Christians, preaches peace, Love

The Senator Representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district,  Distinguished Senator Michael Ama Nnachi, Ph.D, FNIQS, FCArb, has called on Christians to reflect on the significances of the Christmas celebration by imbibing peace and love among themselves.

Senator Nnachi who is the Vice Chairman, Senate Committees on Air Force; and Poverty Alleviation, and Social Investment, gave the admonition in a Christmas message to his constituents, which was released by his Media office in Abakaliki.

He called on Christians to seize the opportunities the celebration afford to rededicate themselves to God and live a Christ-like life.

He said despite the numerous challenges that came with this year, beginning with the global COVID-19 pandamic to the end- SARS protest, there was still need to thank God and appreciate his goodness over us. 

He enjoined Nigerians and Ebonyians "to continue to keep hope alive and never allow the challenges confronting us individually and collectively, as a nation to weigh us down."

He said that Christians should use the occasion of the Christmas to reflect on the life of Christ and emulate those great virtues associated with His life.

He called on Nigerians, particularly Ebonyians to use the festive season to intensify prayers for the peace and security of the state and the country in general.

The Senator added that "as we celebrate, please let us continue to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 guidelines as prescribed by the government and NCDC."

He said, "as we celebrate the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ, let us reflect on His life and imbibe His spirit of sacrifice. His life of peace and  love for mankind.

"On behalf of my family and the entire good people of Ebonyi South Senatorial district, I heartily rejoice with Nigerians, particularly Christians on this auspicious occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

"And I pray that the joy associated with the season will be your portion. Merry Christmas." END//
