Breaking: Ebonyi varsity suspends school resumption

The Ebonyi State University ( EBSU) has suspended the intended plans to resume School activities on Oct 5th, 2020.

In a statement issued by the registrar Mrs Bibian N. Nwoku, and made available to our reporter in Abakaliki said the suspension followed after the 63rd top management meeting on Monday, 28 September 2020, where the management discussed extensively on the nitty-gritty involved in the said resumption and  resolved to suspend it for now and until further notice.

The statement further directed all those concerned to take note the change and act accordingly.

The statement reads "Please recall that you were informed recently via our memo EBSU/R/66/VOL.II/57 of 22nd September 2020,
"that Ebonyi state University will resume her full academic activities from Monday, 5th October, 2020, in line with the state governments directive on the reopening of schools in Ebonyi state,"

"Inversely, during the 63rd top management meeting of Monday, 28 September 2020, the management discussed extensively on the nitty-gritty involved in the said resumption and  resolved to suspend it for now and until further notice".

"by the foregoing, all concerned should please note the change and act accordingly". It stated.

  1. No reason was adduced for suspension of school resumption by EBSU. No new date given. After 6 months at home?
