Sen. Ama Nnachi condoles with families of Akaeze Autocrash

The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Michael Ama Nnachi, Ph.D has  condoled with the families of the victims of the road accident involving a passenger-bound 608 bus at Akaeze in Ivo LGAs of Ebonyi State last week Friday.

About 28 persons of 32 members of the Christ Peculiar Church of Nigeria, Enugu State Branch on board the 608 bus have been confirmed dead in the auto crash.

The victims were returning from a burial ceremony at Nguzu  Edda in Afikpo South LGA of the State when the 608 bus plunged into the Ezeiyiaku river while attempting to overtake a Man Diesel truck.

Sen. Ama Nnachi in a press statement issued by his media office in Abakaliki on Monday described the incident as painful and unfortunate loss of innocent souls.

He therefore, condoled with the deceased families and the Government of Ebonyi State led by Engr. David Umahi, over the unfortunate incident.

He also commended Governor David Umahi for his prompt response and intervention.

While praying God for the repose of the deceased, Senator Nnachi urged road users to shun over speeding and reckless driving especially in this Ember months.
