The Special Assistant to the Governor David Umahi on Vocational Education, Princess (Dr) Adaeze Nwaji yesterday said that the state governent intiative of setting up vocational institution to help develop young talents and make them self made is yielding the needed results following the design of the Electric tricycle and other machines by the institution.

Mrs. Nwaji who made the revelation yesterday during a parley with journalists in Abakaliki noted that the young innovators were discovered on the streets and taken to the Vocational College, Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki to enable them advance their skills.

She noted that the young innovators designed the latest model of Electric tricycle called "Dave hybrid" Adding that the Electric tricycle has doors and powered by both solar and electric. 

She further stated that the Young Innovators are students of conventional secondary schools in Abakaliki but sequel to their discovery were taken to the Vocational College to enable them harness their skills for the betterment of selves and that of the society in the face of the technology driven world.

She noted that Governor Umahi, had expressed his pleasure with the ingenuity of the children and therefore commended the college highly adding that the young Innovators are receiving  mentorship in the College.

She thereby described the Governor as a lover of raw talents and a talent excavator maintaining that his visionary tendecy which is not only to established the Vocational College but provided needed facilities and manpower.

According to her the Governor has continued to match his words with actions especially with this latest street to skill mentorship programme which  saw to the discovery of the budding talents in this young innovators.

She called on other well to do individuals and organizations in the society to partner the State Government to aid young innovators programme of the College in order to enable them hone their skills.
